In Haiti, electricity is only available for a few hours per day. Tek4Kids providing a reliable source of electricity helps to improve the daily life of students and teachers in their learning environment. By putting an infrastructure in place, it has improved the functioning of the schools and improves the foundation for their academic success. In 2013, eight batteries were installed to operate the water purification system which pumps 1500 gallons of water through the cisterns each week, providing clean water to more than 200 students. In 2014, an additional eight batteries were installed for a computer lab to improve the students ability to use technology which could open up new job opportunities in the community. All this is possible by providing a basic infrastructure and then branching out to provide more opportunities for the people of Haiti.
