Assessing Damage and Moving Forward in Jeremie

Tek4Kids founders Gary and Cathy Boice recently traveled to Jeremie, Haiti to assess the damage caused by Hurricane Matthew and continue making plans for our response to this disaster. Priorities included providing housing assistance for our teachers and staff, distributing purified water to the community, determining if laptops, inverters and other equipment can be salvaged and assisting our partner schools in reopening.

Currently, our Tek4Kids teachers and staff are distributing more than 5,000 gallons of purified water to Jeremie residents every day! Persons bring water containers to our partner schools, which are serving as water distribution points. St. Louis High School, St. Therese Montessori, St. John Bosco, Brother Paulin and Centre De Montfort are all participating and community members continue to express gratitude for this assistance.
