The civil unrest in Haiti prevented travel to Jeremie for over two years, but in Oct 2025, Gary made another trip (over 80 in total!). Gary remains extremely active in the day to day operations of Tek4Kids and has resumed travels to Haiti throughout the year to work on current projects. Remote management is difficult in the best of circumstances, but proved especially hard with our team in Jeremie. The opportunity to reconnect and re-energize with the team has been tremendous. New operational procedures have made the team more accountable and the development and delivery of new programs has been fruitful. Spending time with the staff, our Partner School leaders, and students creates the insight to identify opportunities to improve the existing programs and services delivered, as well as identify new projects to deliver on the Tek4Kids mission to create a brighter future in Haiti.
